Dr. Marta Mateos García

I am Dr. Marta Mateos García. My professional activity is developed in the clinical area of outpatient consultations and non-invasive examinations.

I have a degree in Medicine from the Complutense University of Madrid, and I completed my specialized training as a Resident Internal Physician at the La Paz University Hospital in Madrid. Subsequently, I completed my training for two years as a fellow at the Cardiac Imaging Unit of the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona.

My main fields of interest are basal and stress echocardiography, Ischemic Heart Disease, Valvulopathies and Heart Failure. In recent years I have maintained a special monitoring of advances in Cardiology in the context of Oncology patients and Cardiology in Women.

My professional activity includes the performance and interpretation of non-invasive diagnostic tests in the setting of non-hospitalized patients.

I consider it essential in the context of the current essential and dizzying technicalization of Medicine to maintain a permanent comprehensive vision of the performance and interpretation of diagnostic tests in Cardiology in the individualized clinical framework of each patient and each pathology.

Likewise, I believe communication with the patient and respect for the human dimension of clinical activity is fundamental in daily professional practice. Transmitting medical information is a key aspect of the profession. Empathy, assertive communication and understanding must guide our professional relationship with patients, in the interest of a permanent attempt to improve our medical work day by day.
