Knowing your cardiovascular health is of great importance. Measuring cardiovascular risk at age 40 allows adjustments to be made to avoid suffering from these diseases in the next 10 years. Prevention includes modifying or controlling risk factors such as: Smoking, BMI ≥25, uncontrolled blood pressure, high blood glucose , cholesterol values above recommended figures depending on your cardiovascular health status. Secondary prevention involves not only treating cardiovascular disease but also controlling these risk factors, to which is added sleep and other factors necessary to measure and treat them to delay mortality and live with a good quality of life.
