Dr. Diego Garcia Hamilton

I am Dr. Diego García Hamilton, a clinical cardiologist working at the UICAR Cardiology Unit.

After graduating in Medicine from the National University of Tucumán, in Argentina, I completed my residency in Cardiology at the Juan A. Fernández University Hospital in the autonomous city of Buenos Aires, after which I moved to Spain to train in Adult Congenital Heart Disease at the La Paz University Hospital in Madrid, for a period of three years. During this time, in addition to learning this subspecialty and carrying out healthcare work in the public sector, I have been able to develop research projects at national and international level. Since then, I have been working in the private sector, and I am fortunate to belong to the Cardiology team at the Quironsalud Sur Hospital and to be part of the UICAR team.

My current work activity is in the area of ​​clinical cardiology, dedicated to the management of patients in the outpatient clinic, which includes the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients with the entire range of pathologies of this specialty, and the performance and interpretation of non-invasive complementary tests such as electrocardiography, echocardiography, stress tests, Holter ECG and blood pressure studies, etc.
