Doctors Jorge Palazuelos and Daniele Gemma, professors at the Global Academy of PCR Intervention

The Comprehensive Cardiology Unit is proud to announce that Doctors Jorge Palazuelos and Daniele Gemma have been invited to join the faculty of the newly created PCR Global Interventional Academy , one of the most important educational initiatives in the field of interventional cardiology worldwide.

Founded in mid-2025, the Global Academy of PCR Intervention has a mission to train interventional cardiologists from around the world through cutting-edge training programs that transcend borders and foster a global community committed to excellence in patient care.

In line with the vision of Honorary President Jean Marco , the Academy offers educational programs that combine in-person learning with virtual classrooms, providing a comprehensive training experience tailored to regional realities. Its first initiative includes two independent programs focused on coronary interventions and structural heart disease , supported by Meril and delivered through an international network of academic centers. Over the next five years, these programs will train more than 1400 physicians from every continent.

The participation of Doctors Palazuelos and Gemma as professors represents recognition of their outstanding careers and the academic and clinical quality of the Comprehensive Cardiology Unit. Their contribution will strengthen the global exchange of knowledge and the dissemination of best practices in interventional procedures.

With this appointment, the Comprehensive Cardiology Unit reaffirms its commitment to medical excellence, teaching and research , actively participating in spaces that promote the development of interventional cardiology worldwide.
