La Comprehensive Cardiology Unit (UICAR) has had a prominent participation in the Congress of the Spanish Society of Cardiology (SEC 2025), celebrated on Granada on October 23, 24 and 25.
El Dr. Roberto Martín Reyes, Head of Department at UICAR, was part of the scientific program in several spaces of the congress. Firstly, he acted as moderator of the Clinical Cardiology block inside of the Symposium "New convergences between clinical practice and interventionism", where advances in the integration between clinical practice and cardiovascular interventionism were addressed.
Likewise, Dr. Martín Reyes participated in the field of Preventive Cardiologyin the Satellite Symposium “The Next Big Event: Practical Scenarios in Cardiovascular Prevention”, focusing on strategies and real-life cases aimed at reducing the risk of cardiovascular events.
In turn, the Dr. Joel Hernández, a cardiologist at UICAR, presented the paper entitled “Sustained reduction of cardiometabolic risk in a multidisciplinary preventive cardiology center”, in which he presented the team's experience in implementing comprehensive programs for the prevention and control of long-term cardiovascular risk factors.
The participation of both specialists reflects the commitment of the Comprehensive Cardiology Unit with the research, clinical innovation and cardiovascular prevention, actively contributing to scientific exchange and the advancement of medical practice in the field of cardiology.
