On Thursday, May 4th , from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, the Heart Failure Unit of the UICAR at the La Luz University Hospital is organizing a Heart Failure conference in the center's auditorium, aimed at patients and families with this condition.
The most relevant aspects of the disease will be addressed in terms of lifestyle habits and care that these patients must have to live together in the best possible way.
Dr. Teresa Alvarado , head of the Heart Failure Unit, will explain the pathophysiology, causes, signs, symptoms, and how to manage them. Dr. Fernando Tornero, head of the hospital's Nephrology Department, will also participate, discussing the most relevant aspects of daily care for cardiorenal patients.
On the other hand, the nurse and sexologist at the La Luz University Hospital, Fuensanta Madrigal, will provide the necessary tips to take care of your diet, perform exercises and care for sexuality. Finally, there will be the testimony of a patient with Heart Failure.
The event is free and open to the general public.
