Dr. Daniele Gemma participates in the European Congress of Interventional Cardiovascular Medicine

Organized by the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI), on May 16, 17, 18 and 19

The European Congress PCR Held in Paris, it is a meeting point between cardiology experts where results of the most important studies in this field of cardiology are presented. Surgeries are broadcast live from the most important hospitals in Europe and workshops are organized for training in innovative techniques.

Professionals from all over the world participate and every year thousands of works are evaluated, including trials, registries and clinical cases, in order to be discussed during the congress. However, only a limited number of them are finally accepted for presentation, hence their didactic and innovative importance.

This has been the case of the cardiologist at the Comprehensive Cardiology Unit (UICAR), doctor Daniele Gemma, who has had the honor of being able to actively participate in this congress by presenting a successfully treated clinical case.

This was a patient who was admitted to the emergency room due to a heart attack and who underwent catheterization. The patient, with previously implanted stents, had a new infarction caused by restenosis of one of them. Due to its complexity and technique used, the congress organization accepted this case to be presented and its discussion aroused much interest.
