With deep sorrow, the Comprehensive Cardiology Unit (UICAR) regrets to announce the passing of our dear colleague, Dr. Luis Calvo , cardiologist at the La Luz University Hospital , who left us on February 17th.
The news has caused great shock in the world of cardiology and in our medical community. Dr. Calvo was an exceptional professional with extensive experience in interventional cardiology, ischemic heart disease, and sports cardiology. His dedication and commitment to his patients' health have always been an example to us all . His work in the diagnosis , monitoring, and treatment of various cardiovascular diseases has made a difference in countless lives.
Throughout his career, Dr. Luis Calvo has developed an outstanding career as a cardiologist in the La Paz, Nuestra Señora del Rosario hospitals and, finally, in the UICAR of the La Luz University Hospital , where he has left an indelible mark with his dedication and professionalism.
On behalf of the entire UICAR family , especially those of us who had the honor of sharing his enthusiasm and work, we wish to express our deepest condolences to his family and friends . He leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his legacy of dedication, knowledge, and humanity will remain with us forever.
We will always remember Dr. Luis Calvo with admiration and gratitude.
